This pasta recipe by Anetta at The Wanderlust Kitchen makes for a wholesome, comforting meal.

The best part? It’s one of those fast recipes that requires NO measuring and just 5 ingredients that you’ll almost always have in your pantry.

You’ll start off by boiling the pasta until its flexible but not yet done.  Then you’ll saute it in butter, add salt and some of that pasta water and cook until its al dente.

Once the flame is off, you’ll add grated Parmesan cheese which absorbs the remaining liquid in the pan to form a cheesy sauce.

Top off this pile of deliciousness with a touch of salt and freshly cracked pepper corns, and voila…in ten minutes you have this rich, silky pasta to devour on your sofa.

Pan-fried chicken breast

This recipe by Victor at Craving Tasty is quick, easy and tastes delicious with a side salad or mashed potatoes.

Seasoned with garlic and simple spices like salt, black pepper, parsley, thyme and cayenne pepper, the chicken breast pieces come out tasting absolutely heavenly.

The trick to making sure the chicken pieces don’t dry out before they’re cooked through, says Victor, is to cut the breast pieces as thinly and evenly as possible.

Then use a medium-high flame to cook each side for 3 minutes.

The other trick he uses to keep the chicken juicy: He partially covers the skillet so that while one side is frying from below, the steam accumulated will moisten and cook the side on top.

While mashed avocado on toast tastes great on its own, you can take it to the next level by adding an egg on top. You can try using sliced hard-boiled eggs or opt for scrambled or poached eggs if you prefer.

Sprinkle with lemon, salt, pepper and a drizzle of olive oil and you’ve got yourself a nutrition-packed, flavourful meal.

You really can’t go wrong with tortilla that’s layered with Parmesan cheese, tomato slices, lettuce, avocado and chicken.

This chicken fried rice recipe by Averie at Averiecooks is a must-have weapon in your recipe arsenal.

It’s one of those fast recipes you put together when you have left-over white rice and chicken. The result is a hearty meal for lunch or dinner that tastes SO much better than takeout.

You’ll start off by cooking your chicken breasts on medium-high heat for about 3 minutes. After removing the chicken, you’ll fry the vegetables in the same pan. If you don’t have frozen peas and carrots, you can simply replace these with other vegetables such as capsicum or broccoli.

Next you’ll add your eggs to one side of the pan and scramble them before adding in the chicken and leftover rice. To finish off, season with salt, pepper and soy sauce.

We love how all the ingredients are cooked in one pan, making it a HUGE time-saver before and after eating.
