The Beddinge sofa bed is compatible with any of the following mattresses from IKEA; LÖVÅS, MURBO and HÅVET. If you would like to be sure of the compatibility of the mattresses with your Beddinge folding mechanism, we would recommend calling up IKEA to verify this with them before buying the mattress.

Great question, Carol!
The Beddinge itself has been discontinued, but there are 3 mattresses that are compatible with the Beddinge. If you’re in the States, these would be the Lovas mattress – https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/lycksele-loevas-mattress-20102074/
Be sure to give IKEA a call to ensure that the Lovas is still compatible and hasn’t changed dimensions over the years.
The other 2 options Murbo and Havet have also been discontinued, unfortunately.

Hi- I am interested in using this in my basement hangout space which has a smaller doorway at 29in. Would this fit?

Hey Doris,
That’s awesome! I’ve always wished I had a basement to turn into a cool hideout.
The Beddinge measures 104 cm (41 inches) in depth, so it would not fit through a 29-inch doorway when folded. Perhaps if the Beddinge is pushed down to its bed/futon state (flat out), it may fit through the doorway vertically.

Hey Tiffany,
Looks like you’ll just need a couple of screws, an allen key and a wrench, nuts and bolts. Click on page 2 of this Beddinge assembly guide for the exact reference.
In most cases, IKEA makes it relatively simple to put together their sofa/beds/furniture so most of their products require just about the same tools for assembly.

Does Comfort Works make the Beddinge slip covers long / with a skirt in order to cover the frame?

Hey Triphina, thanks for asking!
We make the Beddinge covers snug-fit – this is so that the covers can be used on the sofa-bed in either form (flat-out or folded into a sofa position).
Making the covers long may be possible, though it would surely be a custom option and this is something you may inquire via info@comfortworks.com.au
Just to share; long-skirt covers on the Beddinge may end up hanging when the Beddinge is folded into its sofa form.
