Our Review.

One of the sectional sofa bed models with under-the-chaise storage compartments. The additional storage space and the pull-out bed make this one of the best space savers for those with not much living room real estate. Seating-wise it is quite comfortable with its 3 back cushions.

You can also change the sides of the chaise to either left or right to change up the layout of your living room as you see fit.

Although the Manstad has been discontinued in IKEA stores, Comfort Works is still producing replacement slipcovers for the IKEA Manstad. For more customisation options, get in touch!

Do you know the kind of foam and its density that is used in this sofa? I own one and would like to buy one of your snug covers but I’d like to replace the foam on the main sitting section of the sofa before putting it on. The foam has given in the most used areas. Thank you.

      Hey Robert!

Not entirely sure there but a local upholsterer should be able to help you out with that 🙂

‘Ugh Factor: Originally doesn’t come with slipcovers and you can’t change the sides of the chaise.’
“Our Review. . You can also change the sides of the chaise to either left or right.”

Can you make it clear, is the chaise longue can be switched from left to right?

      Hi Engin,

Sorry for the confusion — with the original Manstad Sofa, you can definitely switch the sides of the chaise from left to right. I’ve updated this part accordingly.

The tricky part is when you get our slipcovers for it, namely the “Loose Fit” – you will end up being stuck with the orientation you bought the covers in so for example, if you were to get the Manstad Loose Fit Slipcovers (Left Chaise) then you’ll have to stay with this orientation if you wish to keep using these covers.

Otherwise, you might need another set if and when you decide to change the sofa bed’s orientation.

      Hope this makes sense!

      Hey Amu,

Not sure if you’re still able to get a replacement arm as the Manstad has been discontinued for years now, really sorry about this but I don’t think we’re able to help out here 🙁
