Mother’s Day is just around the corner! But you knew that already, right?
If you didn’t, there’s still enough time for you to buy some flowers and pretend as if you remembered!
To my own mom: Thanks for all those times you had to change my stinky diapers, and thank you for not telling people about my awkward teenage years that I sometimes wish I could erase from memory.
In honour of all the moms out there for Mother’s Day, we’ve put together some of the most honest and funniest moments that people have shared on Twitter about their moms and motherhood to show that being a mom is in-fact, one of the toughest jobs out there.
The basics of being human…
If they showed you how to use a spoon, the least you could do is show them how to work Facetime on their devices.

… while paying for it.
Shoutout to all the moms out there who supported (and funded) our dreams. Sorry that my dreams of becoming an architect that only made buildings out of lego didn’t quite pan out.
And for putting up with all the crazy surprises along the way.
Props to the moms who let their kids follow their bliss, even if that bliss involved stuffing dead insects into their pockets. Who would have thought that it would end up leading to a career in forensics?
Hats off for feeding the bottomless pits that we call teenagers…
Who are the real heroes you ask? Well, in my opinion, the ones who can keep a kitchen stocked with food, while simultaneously keeping the house in one piece definitely deserves to be called a hero.
…and ending up sleep deprived because of it.
It’s a whole other level of love when someone is willing to lose sleep just to feed you and change your diapers.
Why get a gym membership, when you have kids?
All of us could benefit from having a daily workout routine, but that’s no excuse to drive up the electricity bill!
Reasons to get a pet: They’ll actually appreciate your cooking.
Is this tweet making you feel guilty for not finishing the food your mom cooked? Well, you probably should. But If you’re running low on ideas to surprise your mom with this Mother’s Day, you could always try cooking her a home-cooked meal as a way to say thank you.
No arguments here.
Plenty of pet parents will agree with this one. Thanks for being so understanding, mom.
Most of us might be guilty of this one too. We can get so caught up with the things in our own lives sometimes that we may occasionally “forget to care about our mom’s existence”.
That sure explains a lot…
With Mother’s Day drawing near, let’s try to think about all the things we put them through while they were raising us, and thank them for only “dropping us as a baby those few times”.
