Where to find armrest protectors for your IKEA sofa

We’ve launched something that is going to protect your sofa from cats and kids! Say “bye bye” to stains and claw marks with our latest IKEA armrest protectors/caps/covers – depending on where you’re from.

Manstad sofa Bed in Gaia White slipcover and Kino Natural armrest.

We’ve always had this option upon request actually, but we decided to publicly make it official today so everyone is able to prolong the life of their sofa more accessibly 🙂

Just some quick insight as to what these Armrest Covers are:

  • It’s extra fabric that’s specifically designed to protect the armrest(s) of your sofa
  • Easy to slip on or remove from the armrests whenever spills occur
  • Keeps your armrest free of claw marks
  • An awesome investment for your sofa or slipcover to live longer.

Generally that’s what armrest covers/caps/protectors are supposed to do. With the recent release on our side, kindly note that we make them in all of our fabrics except leather and they’re priced around USD$28-$57 per pair depending on model. Single-sided armrest protectors can also be purchased for certain models such as the Ektorp, Kramfors and Mysinge where they have sofa models with only 1 armrest.

We’ve also taken into consideration the left and right side of how certain sofas are made with piping. If you noticed for example, the Manstad’s armrests are completely seamless on the inner side.

So if you’re getting an armrest protector for your Manstad Chaise Left, do make sure you select the Manstad Chaise Left armrest cover to get that look which just melts onto your sofa, like so:

Here’s a sneak preview of how our other armrest covers look like:

If you’re looking for machine washable, kid and pet friendly fabrics, we’d always recommend the armrest covers (or any slipcover) in either Kino (100% polyester) or Liege (20% linen and 80% viscose).

The Kino is our most durable and heavy duty fabric which pets, especially cats that enjoy destroying armrest, would now have a harder time doing so. Because it’s basically of commercial grade quality, you can machine wash it as many times needed before it starts to wear.

We basically put this to test with our Kino Green Klippan Armrest Covers by getting our resident man-child (Chuck) to draw a kitty cat on the covers with crayon. With a little bit of elbow grease and soap, it was easy enough to get the drawing off – good as new after a scrub’n’wash. Check it out below:

It’s that easy!

Alternatively you could get the Liege fabrics if you’re more into spot cleaning primarily due to its stain and water resistant properties, check out the video demo below:

These options are typically what we’d suggest if you have a family that loves to eat and drink on the sofa, or if you’re just a clumsy klutz like me (don’t judge) in general.

So fret no more as you’re now able to get your IKEA Armrest Covers here or directly on our website – you’ll definitely be making one of the most excellent investments to save your sofa.

Having said that – have you ordered your armrest protectors for your IKEA sofa today?

We are currently using kitchen mats over the end of the arms on our sofa to protect it from the cats claws. The Kino mats that you show are just what we are looking for. We would like to purchase 2 pair. The size I can e-mail later. The color is an off white. Can you help?
