With a near-mirror image layout, this accommodation will appeal to ideally two couples because it contains two separate living spaces each consisting of a bedroom, kitchen, dining area, bathroom and a living room. You’re getting the privacy that you need, yet you’re also sharing a few common spaces (terrace and pool) with some company. The Architect’s House is situated in the heart of Crete, offering panoramic views of the Aegean Sea and the rugged Cretan landscape. With its prime location, guests can easily explore the nearby charming villages, sandy beaches, and historic sites that this magnificent island has to offer.

If you’re a pair looking for an affordable summer getaway, look no further than Tillamook Nook located in Oregon. This newly remodelled vacation rental is a comfortable little studio that’s part of a condo unit next to the beach. Complete with a king-size bed, one bathroom, internet and TV, this cosy little nook is where you can spend most of your day chilling in.

When it’s time for some fresh air, head out to the expansive shared deck overlooking the beach while you watch the skies or enjoy the sound of waves crashing on the shore. You can even enjoy activities on the beach with your furry family members as you’re allowed to bring four doggos to Tillamook Nook with Vacasa’s approval.

And when you’re hungry, Roseanna’s Cafe, a classic, village-house styled eatery that offers a range of delicious food, is just a short walk away.

There are tons of activities to do in Tillamook: you can go for a relaxing fish or kayak in the nearby bays; hike past Three Arch Rocks and through Oceanside’s Tunnel Cave; take a drive on the Three Capes Scenic Drive and end the 40-mile loop right back at Tillamook. There’s also the famous Tillamook Cheese Factory and an air museum nine miles away from the accommodation.

Some of the downsides to this place is that there is limited mobility access (perhaps it’s time to unplug?), thin walls and limited parking spots (off-street parking can be tricky). But for $71 per night on Vacasa, you’re getting the peace you need away from the city with gorgeous ocean views. Hopefully, the guests next door aren’t ones who make too much noise.
