What we think: The simple and modern design of this couch is what we like most about it. It’s not an attention-seeker, yet it is present enough to be noticeable by whoever walks into the space. Another good thing about the Petrie Midcentury is that it can be used as a casual couch or even at more formal settings such as the office. Because of its style, if you are into mid-century modern or have a home of this style, you’ve got to get it!

Feeling of the first sit: The first look had me thinking that it’s probably much more suitable in an office setting compared to a living space. The first sit further affirmed my thought when I sat on it – it’s firm, but soft enough for comfort, which means it’s also great for hosting clients whenever they come over to the office.

Warranty: Crate & Barrel does not advertise any warranty on their website, but they do have a return policy for items within 90 days of receipt.

What we think: Although the Petrie Midcentury is more of an upright sofa than one for lounging, the midcentury modern style is a sure-winner. I mean, look at how sleek it is. Once you place this in your home, it changes everything. Say hello to classy!

Who is it for: The model with the smallest width of 74” easily fits 3 people, so we say this sofa is ideal when there are 3 to 4 people in the family. The Willow II is also a must-buy for people who are in love with the coastal design. The relaxed design of the couch, if paired with the hero Solana Fabric in White, is the quintessential coastal look that you can’t get enough of.

Feeling of the first sit: Despite being a little firmer than the discontinued Willow, it’s still pretty good. The couch is bouncy, but also lets you sink into the seat, so that you can lounge there all day long.

Warranty: Crate & Barrel does not advertise any warranty on their website, but they do have a return policy for items within 90 days of receipt.

What we think: If you judge a sofa by its cover, the Willow II gives you exactly what it looks like on the outside – relaxing. With cushion shapes that have a laidback feel, you’re invited to lounge on the Willow II any day, any time, preferably near the sandy beaches.

Seats up to 4 adults (may vary according to person’s size)

Width: Available from 70” to 103”

Who is it for: The Crate and Barrett II comes in 4 different sizes that can seat a family of 2 to 4 people. It’s also for people who prefer a modern-looking sofa that also looks very sophisticated. The high back cushions offer better back support, so it’s suitable for people who are less of a lounger.

Feeling of the first sit: Its seat cushions are firm, so they don’t provide the sink-in feeling like the Crate & Barrel Lounge Deep Sofa does. That’s not a con to me because I prefer feeling like I’m actually sitting on the sofa, instead of sinking into it.

Warranty: Crate & Barrel does not advertise any warranty on their website, but they do have a return policy for items within 90 days of receipt.

What we think: It’s great for contemporary home interior, especially when the owner likes to host parties. This is because the firm seats provide great seating for guests when they come over because nobody’s going to sink in and spill their drinks. Although we’ve actually got a solution for that – Performance Weave sofa covers. They would look great in office settings as well, we can totally envision your clients sitting there comfortably while having a discussion with you.

Width: Available in 76”, 88” and 98”

Who is it for: With its GREENGUARD Gold certification, the low chemical emission means it’s safer for families with children. If you have young kids and would want cleaner indoor air, it’s good to go with the Gather sofa. Although the widest size can fit up to 4 adults, space could be a little bit tight compared to other sofas that are at least 100” wide.

Feeling of the first sit: Firm at the beginning, but it will eventually become softer as you break in the cushions. Even though the seat height is low, the back cushions are actually really high. If you’re on the taller side, you’d be able to get full support on your shoulders and back.

Warranty: Crate & Barrel does not advertise any warranty on their website, but they do have a return policy for items within 90 days of receipt.

What we think: Firstly, we really like its design! It’s slim, with sleek and modern lines that fit well into our tastes in à la mode aesthetics. ✨ Its bouncy cushions are also on point. Just like its name suggests, it’s a sofa that you can gather on with people you’re comfortable with and have a good stay-in session. That, my friends, means you’re comfortable inside out.
