Super Bowl 2023 is right around the corner and you’re hosting a party, hooray!
Are you excited but also a bit worried that it might be a mess with the preparations?
Nah, we’ve got you. If you’re not hosting more than 10 people, a Super Bowl party is not that difficult. Keep it simple, there’s no need to go the extra mile (unless you don’t mind it) and your Super Bowl party will turn out fine.
What have you got to prepare for?
1. Simple Super Bowl party food ideas
One of the most important items for a Super Bowl party is the food. Chips and dip are must-haves, and you could easily get these items from the grocery store.
If you want to make it more special, we found a pretty delicious yet easy dip recipe. You just need 4 ingredients: sour cream, ranch seasoning, bacon bits and shredded cheese, and all you have to do is mix them together.
Don’t stress yourself out cooking up a storm – takeout is the way to go for this party. According to Premio, pizza and chicken wings are the top 2 foods ordered during Super Bowl Sunday. So, ditch the pots and pans and say hello to cardboard boxes filled with the goodies!
2. Easy, breezy, less boozy Super Bowl party drinks
Level up your takeout menu with a selection of home-made drinks. These non-alcoholic options only take 5-10 minutes to prep, and are great for the whole family. (Grown-ups can choose to add in their own alcohol if they feel the need…)
Non-alcoholic Sangria

3. Skip the washing with eco-friendly paper utensils
We said that this would be a fuss-free Super Bowl party, so give future you a break and use eco-friendly paper utensils when serving food to your guests. No dish washing needed, and no plastic waste guilt either.
4. Prepare music to your (guests’) ears
Get your guests in the Super Bowl mood with a curated playlist – and obviously this year it has to be Rihanna, the Super Bowl half-time star. If you don’t know where to start, we’ve got a few suggestions:
- Umbrella
- Work
- Only Girl
- Don’t Stop The Music
- S&M
And they have to be played according to the sequence. Get the party started!
5. Protect your sofa with a slip-on cover
Your sofa is definitely going to be in the line of fire during Super Bowl. Your guests will be lounging, snacking and (probably) waving food in the air – there’s an extremely high chance that food will be dropped and drinks will be spilled.
Protect your peace and your sofa with a slipcover. We recommend our water-resistant fabrics for spills that roll right off, but you can also go with machine-washable sofa slipcovers that you can peel off straight after the party and throw in the wash.
6. Printable Bingo cards For the commercial break
Keep your guests entertained with a game of bingo during the commercials. All you have to do is to download a couple of commercial bingo cards (they’re free!), print them out and hand them out to your guests before the game.
Let’s see who’s lucky enough to get a row of 5 commercials ticked off first! If you’d like, you could also prepare a small goodie bag for the winners filled with an assortment of snacks.
Enjoy your Super Bowl party with your favourite bunch and may the best team win!
