This post details each different measurements along with its sizes on each Ektorp sofa model. It will also cover all the measurements and images of the discontinued IKEA Ektorp sofas such as the 2 seater sofa bed, corner 2+2 sofa bed, chaise lounge with armrest(s), Tullsta armrest and 2+2 Corner sofa.
Sizes are written as Width x Depth x Height – that’s the 2 widest points of the couch, the depth of the sofa armrest as well as the height from floor up to armrests (not to the top of the back cushions).
Also note that these are the measurements of the Sofa and not the actual slipcovers it self. Depending on the fabric choice, the slipcovers will be sewn accordingly to accommodate fabric stretch & fitting. Hope this helps.

I have an Ektorp 2 seater sofa bought in 2006. I want to get some new covers but I don’t like Ikeas choice at the moment. When I have looked elsewhere for replacement covers the dimensions are bigger than my sofa for the same product. Are newer models of this sofa a different size?

Hi Jane! The dimensions we work with for our Ektorp 2 seater slipcovers are the following: Width: 179cm, Depth: 88cm, Height: 73cm.
Are these more in line with the dimensions of your sofa? It’s possible that you were looking at the sofa bed dimensions, since those are bigger than the regular sofa’s.

We would recommend checking in with IKEA to see which mattresses are compatible. Usually, they would suggest getting a replacement of the same mattress that originally came with the sofa bed. Since the Ektorp series is still being sold in most IKEA outlets worldwide, you may simply call them up or shoot them an email 🙂

I have a great sofa bed ektorp 3 seats and I was planning to buy a new cover, but since I unfold it last week a bed, it’s impossible to fold it back into a sofa. Does anyone has the same issue and can help me ? I can’t find the manual showing how to fold it..

We have what I thought was an Ektorp sofa, originally bought 15 years ago maybe. I thought maybe it was a 3 seater. It has two cushions rather than 3 but it is wide… it seems wider than what is currently called the 2 seater, at 2m from the edge of each of the arm rests (it’s definitely wider than the 179cm I see on the dimensions for current Ektorp online) Generally it also looks bigger than photos I see of 2 seater online. Wondering if anyone knows if the dimensions have changed over the years? asking as I am looking for new covers..

Maybe you have the Ektorp 2-seat sofa bed instead? It is 197 cm wide, so it’s definitely large enough to almost be considered a 3-seater even though it only has 2 seat cushions.
