Our Review.

The Beddinge is your typical “clik-clak” sofa bed designed to be reclined at various degrees – either upright as a sofa, flat like a bed, or somewhere in between. It comes with 2 cushions that can be treated as pillows.

It’s a great choice for a basic sofa bed with its high quality mattress, and an incredibly affordable price. This sofa bed is also commonly paired with the Beddinge storage box (not sold at IKEA anymore) which fits right under the sofa.

If you would like to personalize or rejuvenate your Beddinge with a custom slipcover, Comfort Works is creating replacement slipcovers for the IKEA Beddinge Sofa Bed. Design your own today!

      Hi Susan,

For the Beddinge, you can definitely get just the sofa bed at IKEA without the covers. I do understand that in some regions this sofa has been discontinued, but due to its popularity and age I believe you can find this secondhand on Craigslist, Gumtree or any online secondhand retailer that’s available in your country.

      Hope this helps!

I measured my Beddinge sofabad lengh wise and it is 79 inches
but not sure what the H and D stand for
I measured the width from one end to the other and its around 50-54 inches.
I need to order a new slip cover. Sorry couldn’t post an original comment as it says its a duplicate. Problem with the comments section.
        Thanks

          Hi Omar,

H stands for height and D stands for Depth – “Length” which is what we consider Width at 79″ sounds correct. I would imagine that your width is our Depth, but it seems a little different as it does depend on where you measure.

Best would be for you to send a photo of your sofa, and we’ll be able to determine what slipcover to get 🙂

          Hope this helps!

I am planning on getting one from Amazon as there are 3rd party ones. I’m not wiling to pay 200 to 400 for an original one.

Can you just pop a full size mattress of your choose on top of the flat frame?

      Hey Roxanne,

It’s not impossible to do so but you have to make sure the dimensions are within 140cm (50″) x 200cm (78.75″) otherwise it’d be too large.

      Hope this helps!

HI! i havent been able to find an image of the back of the beddinge sofa with a comfort workscover. wondering if it covers the entire back of the futon? so that no metal/woods shows except for the bottom of the legs. also, wondering which material is as thick as the existing material on the beddinge? (that you offer)

    Thanks.

      Hey Tiffany!

For the Beddinge sofa, we make it as per the original (except for the fabric thickness) – meaning that it doesn’t cover the bottom of the legs, only the mattress portion.

The original Beddinge is padded, so what we’d normally recommend is to put our slipcovers over the original to get a new look while retaining the original padded feel 🙂

      Hope that answers things!

      Hey Barbara,

Based on their dimensions, the Beddinge Mattress at 140x200cm is closer to a “Queen” which is about 150 x 200cm. As most countries have different measurements for their mattresses, it’s best to check with the suppliers directly to see what works best for you 🙂

      Hope this helps!

I bought this sofa few years back in the US, then disassembled it coz I wasn`t using it. Last Month I wanted to put it together and put in my guest room, but I think I misplaced the entire screw set, does anyone have the dimensions of the three sets of screws I need to put this bad boy together.

      Hey Anand!

IKEA might be able to help, do give them a call and you might even be able to head down to collect the parts (usually if it’s minor screws) if they’re missing 🙂

      Hope this helps!
