Our Review.
The Friheten was introduced after the discontinuation of its predecessor, the Manstad. While the Friheten functions similarly to the Manstad sofa bed and has a storage compartment under its chaise, it now allows you to change the sofa bed’s configuration by assembling the chaise on the left or right side of the sofa.
The “armrest” on the sofa seat side is also level with as the seats, allowing taller people to stretch their legs more easily without feeling squished up. One of the only downsides to this really budget-friendly sofa bed is that it comes upholstered, which makes cleaning cumbersome.
Thankfully, we have found a way to slipcover the Friheten in its entirety so you can customize it how you like and leave the cleaning for the washing machine. Design your own Friheten sofa bed slipcover today!

Do you make covers for the three seat friheten sofa bed?
by Chuck
Hey Selina!
Would you want a cover that would allow it to convert to a sofa bed? At the moment this isn’t something we can do, but if you’d like a simple slipcover that goes over it do send us an email at info@comfortworks.com.au and we’ll follow up from there 🙂
Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi
Wondering if you do a tufting kit for the Friheten sofa bed? And if so, do you have any photos of the tufted finish?
Thanks
by Chris
Hi!
We have a tufting kit and it can be used on any sofa you like (provided the cushions are detachable and can fit an even number of buttons). Check out our sofa tufting kit. We don’t have any pictures of a tufted Friheten, but here’s some of what our customers did to a Karlstad.

Hey! I’m looking for a replacement part for the FRIHETEN. The bed extension section has buckled (the metal arms that support the bed section). Do you know anywhere that sells replacement parts for this sofa?
Thanks!
by Chuck
Hey Clive!
Any chance you’ve tried IKEA? They’d usually have an entire section for spare parts 🙂
Hope this helps!

I just purchased this sofa bed second hand for a great price, however it only came with 2 back cushions and ikea does not sell them separately. Do you know where I could find an extra one?
by Chuck
Hey there Shayna,
We’re not too sure where you can find an extra one, but you could always have one custom made at your local upholstery or foam shop 🙂
Hope this helps!
