1. Applaryd

One word: BOUNCY.

You know how you just sink into some sofas and don’t feel like you can get yourself back up? The Applaryd 4-seater with chaise sure isn’t going to make you feel that way. It is comfortable, yet it’s so bouncy that it makes it easy to get up again when it’s time to.

The well-positioned back cushions allow upright seating and if your height is around 170cm, your feet would be able to touch the floor even when your back is against the plump back cushions.

Please note the Applaryd’s covers are non-removable, so if there is a bad spill or mess made by friends or family, there would be no way to wash or change the covers. However, we do have pro tips on how to clean your upholstered sofa effectively.

2. Kivik

This 4-seat sectional with chaise has deep seating made with pocket springs, high resilience foam and polyester fibres. If you like wide space on a sofa, then you’ll be delighted to be seated in this one here. The Kivik’s arms are wide and low – perfect as a headrest for when you’re taking a nap.

This sectional comes in colours like anthracite, beige, turquoise and grey. Perhaps you took a visit to IKEA and really like the Kivik, but not the colours it comes in. If you’re looking for something a bit different, we’ve got you covered (your sofa that is).

Because did you know you can buy IKEA sofas… without the IKEA sofa covers? That means you can customise the look and feel of your new Kivik sectional exactly how you want.

3. Sӧderhamn

The IKEA Sӧderhamn has always been one of our favourites because of its unique look and hackability.

At one glance, in its original slipcovers and steel legs, the Sӧderhamn comes off as a sleek and handsome 4-seater sectional. It offers low, deep seating with cushions that are soft, so you’ll feel like you’re sinking into the embrace of the Sӧderhamn.

However, if you’d like to give the Sӧderhamn a makeover once in a while, it’s really simple and there are so many ways to do it!

You can get slipcovers of a different colour and fabric than the 5 offered by IKEA; you can also replace the steel legs with wooden ones such as our Peroni replacement sofa legs; you could also order our Signature Farmhouse slipcover and give it a traditional look, at the same time conservatively hiding its shiny legs.

If you’re interested in a bigger transformation, try looking at how we hacked it into a ghost sofa that looks similar to the one offered by premium brands.

4. Uppland

Now, the Uppland (an improved version of the Ektorp), is a really comfy one. Made with pocket springs, high resilient foam and polyester fibres, the sofa is firm, yet also soft to allow you to sink a little into the couch. The seat stands relatively tall at 47cm, making it an easy one to sit into and get back up from.

The round arms give the Uppland a classic look, making it able to fit into almost any home design. So, if you’re looking for something that looks and feels simple but classic, the Uppland 4-seater corner sofa would be your choice.

5. Morabo

A timeless classic piece, resembling the Karlstad and the Landskrona – that’s the Morabo. Although the covers are upholstered, the Morabo offers 3 types of fabric materials and 8 colour options. We particularly like the golden brown/wood colour made from grain leather and coated fabric that has a similar texture to leather. It offers a very vintage look that could also fit into an office.

As for the seats, they are firm and comfortable, thanks to the thick back cushions and high-resilience foam and polyester wadding. The leather cover is also relatively easy to clean, as you only need to wipe it with a damp cloth in case of any accidents.
