Our Review.

The Beddinge is your typical “clik-clak” sofa bed designed to be reclined at various degrees – either upright as a sofa, flat like a bed, or somewhere in between. It comes with 2 cushions that can be treated as pillows.

It’s a great choice for a basic sofa bed with its high quality mattress, and an incredibly affordable price. This sofa bed is also commonly paired with the Beddinge storage box (not sold at IKEA anymore) which fits right under the sofa.

If you would like to personalize or rejuvenate your Beddinge with a custom slipcover, Comfort Works is creating replacement slipcovers for the IKEA Beddinge Sofa Bed. Design your own today!

I recently bought this sofa bed on https://youtu.be/ZF-ZmtRBoik. It’s seems great, but can it be locked into the sofa position? I understand the ease of wanting to grab and unfold into a bed, but that ease also seems to lend itself to tipping over/backwards rather easily….and with kids I envision them jumping on it and over it goes.

      Hey Dan,

Unfortunately this is something you’d have to ask IKEA directly as we’re not too sure of the technical components to the detail. As far as we know, it’s best to put this sofa bed against the wall so you don’t have the issue of having it tip over backwards with kids around.

Hope this helps and good luck!

    Hi Chuck,
According to this blog post, the measurements for the Beddinge sofa bed: W 200 cm, D 104 cm, H 91 cm which is likely the one I have. But your Beddinge slipcover size is mentioned as Width: 203cm, Depth: 82cm, Height: 94cm on your website…
I am a little confused about this 🙁

      Hey Mimi!

An educated guess will be that the blog post takes into consideration the product as a whole whereas the website took the seat depth.

For a better understanding of the Beddinge, here is a PDF from IKEA
      https://www.ikea.com/ms/en_SG/pdf/buying_guides/2013/BEDDINGE_bg.pdf

      The correct measurements are :

      Sofa-bed
      200x104x91 cm
      with LÖVÅS
      mattress
      140×200 cm

      Hope this helps!

      Hey Miku!

Sorry for the confusion, typically on the blog we’d use dimensions as per IKEA’s website which looks at the whole sofa as much as possible but on our slipcover store, we’d provide dimensions of the covers instead.

That’s why there’s some slight differences but as long as it’s the Beddinge sofa bed, you can rest assured that the slipcovers would fit accordingly 🙂

      Hope this helps!

Well, there was snapping sound … the spring broke. I was hoping that I’ll find the parts list on this blog – the cover “manual” and buying guide is helpful but I need the part number. Can you help? Thanks…

      Hey Forsitan,

Sorry to know that happened! 🙁 We’re not too sure about the exact code/number for the springs, but a sure way to find out would be to call up IKEA or drop them a message!

      You could try:

Hope this helps, and good luck! 🙂

    Hi,

I am wondering if you could help provide another dimension for this sofa bed? Do you know what the height is of the space under the bed (height from the floor to the undercarriage).

I am hoping to fit my current ikea storage boxes (SAMLA, 18cm height) underneath, but I can’t confirm under storage dimensions (other than the discontinued storage box).

    Thank you

      Hey Sarah,

Can’t say we know for sure – tho a great way to find out would be to take a measuring tape over to the nearest IKEA and measure under the Beddinge frame. I’d do this, but I’m unable to at the moment from where I am, so sorry!. Hope this helps!
