Our Review.

One of the sectional sofa bed models with under-the-chaise storage compartments. The additional storage space and the pull-out bed make this one of the best space savers for those with not much living room real estate. Seating-wise it is quite comfortable with its 3 back cushions.

You can also change the sides of the chaise to either left or right to change up the layout of your living room as you see fit.

Although the Manstad has been discontinued in IKEA stores, Comfort Works is still producing replacement slipcovers for the IKEA Manstad. For more customisation options, get in touch!

The springs under the chaise portion of the sofa have broken, leading to a deep sag. Is there anyway that I can replace the chaise cushion/storage cover? Thanks.

      Hey Chris,

Not that we know of actually as we haven’t had that issue (yet) with our Manstad. IKEA actually has a 10 year warranty on the structure but if you had bought your Manstad in 2006 like us, then I would imagine this is void now 🙁

Do give them a call anyways to see what they can do I reckon, otherwise you might have to consider going to an upholsterer as they’d usually have the tools to fix that particular part.

      Hope this helps!

      Hey Ann,

It may be possible that your sofa is a Manstad without a storage compartment, however; we’d recommend checking under the seat cushions for an IKEA brand/model tag -just to be sure!

You may also drop us an email with some photos of your sofa at info@comfortworks.com.au and we’ll help you figure it out 🙂

      Hope this helps!

During our last move we misplaced the legs for our Manstad. Do you sell feet or know where they can be purchased?

      Hey Bill,

Since the Mandstad’s sofa bed section legs are a fixed height, you would have to get sofa legs that are exactly the same height as the originals to balance them out. We’d recommend getting some second-hand Manstad legs over ebay (there are plenty) – just ensure that they’re still in good, useable condition. 🙂
